Freshwater Fishing
The Bella Coola River offers great fishing for Chinook and Coho Salmon in the Summer and Fall and licensed guides are available to accommodate you. Drifting the River with a licensed angling guide is the most effective.
There are countless lakes that can be accessed by Helicopter that offer excellent Wild Trout Fishing. We provide Licensed Angling Guides and inflatable boats and fly to uninhabited pristine Lakes and Rivers where there are no other anglers. We provide our guiding services and a campfire shore lunch and have a great day of exclusive Trout fishing.
The A-star Helicopter can take up to 6 passengers at a time so when you split the cost of the Helicopter 6 ways it makes the charter quite reasonable. Cutthroat Trout fishing is to the West of the Resort, towards the Coast, and Rainbow Trout fishing is to the East, towards the Interior.

Heli-Hiking
Once you have explored the Salmon Spawning streams and all that they have to offer take an adventurous hike above treeline into Mountain Goat country amongst the crystal clear lakes and Alpine Meadows. You can access the mountain tops on foot by trail or better yet do some Heli-Hiking. It is quite a reasonable price to charter the A-Star Helicopter given you can split the cost of the charter with 6 passengers.
The West Coast Helicopter base is conveniently right here on the valley floor. Fortunately it is just a very short hop for the Helicopter to get you up on top of the world where you can experience the unforgettable views of the magnificent Ocean Fjords.
